Drawing its mandate from the provisions of Republic Act No. 10929

The Free Wi-Fi for All – Free Public Internet Access Program aims to accelerate the Philippine government’s efforts in enhancing internet accessibility for Filipinos so that economic, social, and educational opportunities will be bolstered, and the growing digital divide can be bridged.

By developing relevant systems and enhancing existing ones, the Free Wi-Fi for All– Free Public Internet Access Program aims to:

provide Wi-Fi Internet access at no charge in selected public places;

provide efficient and effective ICT infrastructure and information systems to the public;

promote the use of ICT to improve delivery of critical functions of government services;

provide a lower entry barrier for users, as well as improve accessibility;

through public-private partnerships, provide commercial services, but with direct government intervention – in the form of investments – only as a method of last resort; and

acquire a secured official electronic communications and collaboration system.

Naghatag ang Department of Social and Welfare Development (DSWD) sa Munisipyo sa Glan ug Transformative Innovation Award sa gihimong Social Technology Expo 2024.

Gihatagan ug pag-ila ang epektibo ug malampuson nga implementasyon sa “Yakap Bayan Program “ sa Lokal na pamahalaan ng Glan pinaagi sa Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO). Kini nga programa usa ka after-care program nga nagatumong sa pagtabang ug paghatag ug mga serbisyo sa atong mga kaigsoonang biktima sa paggamit ug droga.

Busa, dakong kalipay sa LGU-Glan nga nahatagan ug nasyonal nga pag-ila gikan sa DSWD.

Sa pagsaulog sa adlaw sa gugma, ang Local Government Unit of Glan nga gipangunahan ni Mayor Victor James B. Yap, Sr. ug Sangguniang Bayan nga gipangunahan ni Vice Mayor Victor James P. Yap, Sr. ug ang atong Municipal Civil Registrar Office nagpahigayon ug programang Kasalan ng Bayan nga nagatumong sa paghatag ug libreng serbisyong kasal sa atong mga katawhan sa Glan.

Karong adlawa sa Valentines , aduna kitay 25 ka pares ang kinasingkasing nga nagpakita sa ilang gugma ug malipayong gikasal dinhi sa atong Municipal Gymnasium.

Ang atong mga pares, nakadawat ug libreng mga serbisyo sama sa libreng wedding ceremony, cake, rings, wine, pagkaon ug groceries.

Kini tanan handog para sa mga katawhan gikan sa LGU-Glan.
